4. Grow Your Own
· Herbs are an easy way to start

· Grow in pots outside kitchen

· Only cut off as much or as little as you need

5. Get Your Shellfishing License
· Harvest “free” oysters, littleneck, steamers, mussels.

· Join Barnstable Association for Recreational Shellfishing to learn how (www.shellfishing.org) or Commercial Recreational Association for Better Shellfishing

7. Know Thy Fishmonger
· Ask what is freshest/in season

· Ask where fish came from

· Ask how to prepare

8. Pick Your Own
